Low viscosity
Suitable where a high-fibre formulation must remain light and easy to drink or process.
PRATHIN FUNCTIONAL FIBRE
Partially Hydrolysed Guar Gum for formulations that need fibre functionality without the viscosity burden of conventional guar systems.
WHY INDIA
India grows approximately eighty percent of the world’s guar. It exports refined guar splits, and imports the finished functional fibre made from them — predominantly from Japan and China, at a substantial multiple of the value it exported.
This is a processing gap rather than a sourcing inefficiency. The technology to produce PHGG at specification has resided outside India, and the value has followed the technology rather than the crop.
Prathin Foods manufactures PHGG in India, from Indian guar, using process technology developed in-house.
THE PROPOSITION
PHGG is a hydrolysed guar fibre designed to disperse readily and contribute dietary fibre while maintaining a water-like, low-viscosity character at useful use levels.
That combination can be valuable in beverages, nutrition systems and other products where conventional gums can compromise drinkability, processing or sensory character.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
Final performance depends on grade, dosage, process and the surrounding formulation. PRATHIN evaluates PHGG in application context rather than treating fibre as an isolated specification.
Suitable where a high-fibre formulation must remain light and easy to drink or process.
Designed for straightforward incorporation into aqueous systems.
A practical base for developing fibre-enriched beverages and foods.
APPLICATION AREAS
Clear or low-viscosity fibre beverages, wellness drinks and nutrition formats.
Instant beverage and nutrition systems where rapid dispersion and mouthfeel matter.
Fibre enrichment where a heavy gum texture is undesirable.
Technical studies to identify the right use level and process conditions for a specific product.
